How do I safely collect and mail pet whiskers?+
Only collect whiskers that have shed naturally around your home (on bedding, rugs, or cat trees). Never pull or pluck whiskers. Place 1 to 5 whiskers between two pieces of stiff clean cardstock or inside a greeting card, tape the paper closed (do NOT tape directly to the whisker), and mail in a standard letter envelope.

Jewelry Materials & Longevity Care

How do I care for botanical resin jewelry?+
Crystal-grade, UV cured resin is very resilient and resistant to yellowing, cloudiness, and scratches. While water-resistant, avoid leaving the resin piece submerged in water (remove before swimming or showering). Avoid contact with solvents such as rubbing alcohol, glass cleaner, and nail polish remover, as well as hand creams, lotions, and hair products. Not all botanicals are UV-resistant, and extended exposure to natural light may cause bleaching or colour change.
Why use stainless steel?+
• Stainless steel is versatile and affordable, allowing for reasonable price points to enjoy these gorgeous pieces. Stainless steel is a mixed metal alloy, fused with carbon for excellent durability. • Different stainless steel findings are used depending on the piece and anticipated function (e.g. contact with skin, need for flexibility, etc.): - 316 surgical stainless steel contains chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. This stainless steel is resistant to sweat and skin oils. 316L stainless contains less carbon. - 304 stainless contains chromium and nickel, and is also resistant to corrosion. - PVD stainless steel with 18K gold plating is a wonderful option for jewelry combining the warmth and glow of a gold finish with the durability and affordability of stainless steel. Physical vapour deposition applies thin layers of a material, like gold, using an industrial vacuum chamber. This creates a durable, tarnish, and wear-resistant surface with an atomic bond to the underlying stainless steel. - 430 stainless steel is nickel-free, containing only chromium and carbon. Unfortunately, this grade is much more prone to corrosion and staining.
